Our stay at the Umedaholic Hotel was by far the best experience I have had in over 20 years of world travel. The quality of the furnishings, the bedding, the additional room supplies and free food and drink bar are just some of the highlights they have to offer. During our stay, my young daughter became very unwell with Norovirus and the reception staff assisted me in finding her an urgent clinic, ordered a tax, brought a wheelchair to our room, wrapped her in blankets and gave directions to our taxi driver to get us there. We ended up extending our stay as my daughter needed rest, and when it came to changing rooms, we didn't have to wait between check out and check in time, they had our room ready for us. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, the care, attention to detail and quality of accommodation is world class.

This hotel was a boutique type of hotel which is very popular with foreign tourists as evidenced by the different faces at breakfast each morning. It has everything you need that a larger chain hotel would provide. The staff at the hotel are great and a special mention and thank you goes to a lady named Munemori who was on top of her service. I have travelled a lot and this young lady who was on the front desk had the rare ability to quickly understand my questions and give clear answers even allowing for the language barrier of Japanese to English. She would make a great manager. The hotel is within a easy walk of the main Umeda Osaka train station and a large arcade that has a huge variety of food options.

Seems like a fairly new hotel. I loved how clean and spacious the room felt—larger than most hotels, with space under the bed to store luggage making it feel even roomier! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they let us store our luggage when we arrived early. Another plus is the bathroom layout. It’s similar to a typical Japanese home, with a separate shower and large bathtub with a seating area. I felt like I was in a sauna and the bathroom felt super spacious. The location is great, though it’s about a 1 km walk to surrounding metro and train stations. But the walk is pleasant and I enjoyed strolling to Umeda Station, passing by shopping malls and streets on the way back to the hotel.

The hotel is very cozy and generally quiet. The beds were super comfy. There was a construction site nearby, but the noise only occurred during the day. The rooms are a bit small, but ours could fit a large and small bag, plus backpacks. Every day, clean towels and water bottles were left at the door, unless it was cleaning day. We would totally stay here again. The staff is very friendly as well, although they speak little English, but in the end, we all understood each other (which is common in Osaka). I can't comment on the breakfast because we didn't have it.

- Very helpful staff. - Breakfast was simple but tasty. You could pick from 4 options. - Free water bottles every day. - Free amenities, like toothbrush etc. - Not far from the Osaka Umeda station. - You could open a window in the room for fresh air. - Free drinks and snacks in the Lobby for guests. - Laundry available (required 100 Yen coins). - We did not hear any noise from other rooms / guests, so isolation seemed good. - Free WiFi.
